BoothBloom | Photobooth CRM

I was the sole designer on the BoothBloom project, responsible for creating the dashboard experience from the ground up. Working closely with developers, I led the design process from research to final prototypes, ensuring the platform not only looked modern but solved real pain points for photobooth business owners. This project required me to balance business goals with user needs while also collaborating directly with the development team to make sure every design decision was practical for implementation. Being the only designer on the team challenged me to wear multiple hats, from UX research to UI design, and taught me how to clearly communicate design rationale to both technical and non technical stakeholders.

The Goal:

The main objective of the BoothBloom dashboard was to give photobooth business owners a clear and actionable view of their operations in one place. The design needed to provide a snapshot of business health by surfacing key insights such as bookings, revenue, and payments, while also making event and client management simple and intuitive. Another important goal was to support team coordination through built-in management features, ensuring that business owners could oversee both their operations and staff with ease. Above all, the dashboard had to feel modern and approachable, creating a seamless user experience that reduces complexity and helps users focus on what matters most; running successful events.

The Challenge:

Photobooth business owners faced a fragmented and time-consuming process for booking events. Clients often had to email or call to discuss packages, which led to miscommunications, delays, and missed opportunities. The challenge was to create a streamlined, self-service booking system that allowed clients to view, customize, and book event packages with ease while giving businesses control over their offerings.

The Result

To solve the challenge of a fragmented and time-consuming booking process, we followed a user-centered design approach for BoothBloom. We started with discovery research to understand the pain points of both photobooth business owners and their clients. We then created user journey maps to identify friction points in the booking process, followed by wireframing and prototyping the Book-A-Booth tool. Usability testing with real users allowed us to refine the experience, ensuring it was intuitive and easy to navigate. The end result was a streamlined booking system where clients could view packages, customize options, and book events directly through a shareable link. This reduced administrative workload for businesses, minimized miscommunications, and improved client satisfaction, ultimately leading to more efficient operations and increased bookings.
